چکیده
We introduce an efficient method to simulate dynamics of interacting quantum impurity coupled non-interacting fermionic reservoirs. Viewing the as open system, we describe reservoirs by their Feynman-Vernon influence functionals (IF). The IF are represented matrix-product states in temporal domain, which enables computation for arbitrary interactions. apply our study quenches and transport Anderson model, including highly non-equilibrium setups, find favorable performance compared state-of-the-art methods. computational resources required accurate scale polynomially with evolution time, indicating that a broad class out-of-equilibrium problems efficiently solvable. This approach will provide new insights into dynamical properties mesoscopic devices correlated materials.

Quantum impurity problems occur in various areas of physics. Some examples are: an impurity spin in a metal (the Kondo problem), the two-impurity Kondo problem, a defect or impurity spin in a spin chain, tunnelling through a barrier in a quantum wire proton-monopole scattering (the Callan-Rubakov effect). Some common features of these problems are: 1. gapless “bulk” excitations (ie. far from th...
متن کاملQuantum rolling down out of equilibrium.
In a scalar field theory, when the tree level potential admits broken symmetry ground states, the quantum corrections to the static effective potential are complex. (The imaginary part is a consequence of an instability towards phase separation and the static effective potential is not a relevant quantity for understanding the dynamics). Instead, we study here the equations of motion obtained f...
متن کاملNew method for studying steady states in quantum impurity problems: the interacting resonant level model.
We develop a new perturbative method for studying any steady states of quantum impurities, in or out of equilibrium. We show that steady-state averages are completely fixed by basic properties of the steady-state (Hershfield's) density matrix along with dynamical "impurity conditions." This gives the full perturbative expansion without Feynman diagrams (matrix products instead are used), and "r...
متن کاملDuality for vector equilibrium problems with constraints
In the paper, we study duality for vector equilibrium problems using a concept of generalized convexity in dealing with the quasi-relative interior. Then, their applications to optimality conditions for quasi-relative efficient solutions are obtained. Our results are extensions of several existing ones in the literature when the ordering cones in both the objective space and the constr...
